We just completed elections in Uttar Pradesh…and amidst some very interesting twists and drama stood a young guy who had a different story to tell….Here comes a young 35 year old, politician in the making out to change the national political scenario in India……third time candidate from Gorakhpur constituency is an educated young man from Gorakhpur University.
….Meet Rajan Yadav, a Masters in business from the renowned Gorakhpur University…. During the election campaign he was ridiculed by many initially for his crazy stunts such as carrying out a funeral procession of Indian politics typical Indian style…..but over a period of time they have come along and now support him wholeheartedly and some even help him with little funding for his election activities….

Sitting on a bier which is called arthi in Hindi he goes about town campaigning for the elections….sometimes he gets himself on a funeral pyre…while on many other occasions he can be seen addressing people on a ghat (river bank) with ashes in hand…The young lad has already held more than 100 sit-ins on issues such as unemployment, female infanticide and other social issues.

….He holds his meets in the crematorium and lectures people making them aware of their rights …..Still in the past he could not even secure1000 odd votes
Nevertheless his passionate service continues for people in his area which includes drafting of important letters such as complaints regarding issues concerning daily life and also making sure justice is granted to those not very influential and hence helpless.

Hats off for a very original style Arthi baba and definitely there are issues with corruption and graft in the country that need to be addressed………
……however one would think since he is well educated, it would help if he joins a political party just to make things easier….the difficult part is that Arthi baba is completely against religion based politics which is quite evident atleast in Uttar Pradesh where he belongs….
So what is the strategy that he should follow ??? And those who feel they want to bring change and work for development ?????
