Had the good fortune of visiting the famous artisans village in Raghurajpur, Odisha, early this month. The fact that such a village still exists where every household is engaged in practicing art that is also their main source of livelihood is worth appreciating. The Odisha Government, too, has done a commendable job of preserving this gem in its original form.
Enough signboards and directions on the way ensured we maneuvered the bylanes of this town well to reach the interior pockets where the village is located.
